I have to give this hotel five stars when measured against other budget hotels in Albuquerque. On the surface it would be very easy to drive right by this hotel and look for another. However, a few things to consider: they have gated parking, The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The hotel management had a very family oriented vibe. There is a free breakfast. The rooms were very clean and reasonably well maintained. Overall the one night on a Sunday set us back under $70! As a bonus, if you are needing to be an Albuquerque for a medical appointment at one of the hospitals nearby this motel does offer special rates.
Totally serviceable motel. The bed was comfortable, the room had all the necessities. Robert at the check-in desk was very personable and welcoming. He called to confirm our reservation earlier that day, which was much appreciated and unexpected at a motel! And he was happy to let us leave our bags after checkout while we went out for a few hours. Food was limited but we didn't expect a huge spread. Hot water and coffee available, along with a few small pastry items. The motel itself is right next to the freeway so can be a little loud, but it's near multiple transit lines and has plenty of parking. If you're looking for an affordable place for just a night, this place works!
Very middle of the road hotel. The rooms were mostly clean, except for the floors which left my bare feet black with dirt — and the hair dryer in the bathroom, the handle of which was covered with someone else's hair. Really kind of gross. But the beds were clean and comfortable, as was most everything else, at least upon visual inspection. The turntable in the microwave didn't work, which wasn't a big deal, but still bears mentioning. Most of the plugs in the room were very loose, which made it hard to plug things in and keep them there. The window screen was bent and damaged, and it didn't appear that the room was even up to code as the outlet next to the bathroom sink was not a GFCI. I also noticed that the fire extinguisher box next to my room didn't have a fire extinguisher in it. And the paper thin walls meant that I could hear my neighbors conversing and listening to the TV late into the night when I was trying to sleep. Still, it wasn't all bad — I would stay here again if I couldn't find a better alternative for a similar price, if I couldn't afford anything better.
The only thing good about this place was the elderly man who was the receptionist. He was kind, charming and helpful. Even though he typed with individual fingers, which slowed the line. The room was disappointing. The lamps next to the bed did not turn on, because they weren’t plugged in- and after inspecting, there was no jack for them to be plugged along the wall. You’d have to get an extension cord to reach the other wall to turn them on. Wile I was inspecting, I found rodent droppings, years old food droppings under the bed. What a disgusting embarrassment for this establishment. I went to a Hilton in Texas for half the price, and it was luxury compared to this absolute neglect and disappointment.
Attended a memorial for a retired work colleague. This was a convenient location to the venue. Not fancy, no frills, just a place to spend the nite and get out of the heat. AC worked really well.
Expect only the bare minimum. Room reserved for 4 people (capacity was 4 people with 2 queen beds) yet there were only 2 towels in the room. There were no knives for breakfast, just forks and spoons. Our sink had a rusted out hole in it. …
One of the best places to stay at! Can't think of a single thing bad to say about this place! Kelly & AJ the owners, are great people and so is all the other employees. I'd give 10 stars if possible
Stopped in on long trip. Was given a room close to office to make me feel safe and secure. Room very modern and clean. Nice people.
